A re-elected Malinauskas Labor Government will invest more than $20 million in Adelaide Fringe over four years.

A re-elected Malinauskas Labor Government will continue to invest in the Fringe with a funding commitment of $5 million per year.

Included in this commitment is a further $1.5 million for Adelaide Fringe to strengthen its Honeypot initiative, attract national and international arts programmers, and create more opportunities for artists.

The funding will also further boost the Fringe’s grants program to support new and emerging artists, while strengthening interstate and international marketing to drive visitor growth and reinforce South Australia’s reputation as the nation’s festival capital.

This investment builds on support that has helped Adelaide Fringe achieve remarkable growth and deliver significant cultural, social and economic benefits for South Australia.

As the largest arts event in Australia, Adelaide Fringe contributes around $200 million to the state’s economy each year.

South Australia is renowned for its extraordinary arts, culture and creativity, and a re-elected Malinauskas Labor Government will continue investing in the arts to strengthen and cement our state’s reputation as the festival state.
