Helping our most vulnerable is what Labor is all about.
That is why a re-elected Malinauskas Labor Government will commit an additional $6 million to address homelessness in Adelaide’s CBD.
The funding, to be shared across Catherine House, Hutt Street Centre and St Vincent de Paul over four years, supports specialist work that makes a tangible difference for people experiencing homelessness, helping vital organisations provide much needed assistance while easing pressure on hospitals, correctional services and emergency accommodation support.
The additional funding will complement the more than $78 million provided to these and other homelessness services through South Australia's Homelessness Alliance model, as well as additional funding provided directly to these organisations since Labor came to office in 2022.
Catherine House, Hutt Street Centre and St Vincent de Paul are critical organisations that provide specialist care to people at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness. Labor's increased funding commitment gives them greater ability to do what they are experts in, connecting with clients and supporting them to have a better future.
