Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) is a crucial support for many South Australian families, providing working parents with flexibility and giving kids the opportunity to make new friends outside of the classroom.
We know that not all families are able to access OSHC when they need it, meaning parents are not able to contribute to the workforce as much as they might like, and kids do not have extra opportunities to build on their social and communication skills. We want to give parents and families across South Australia the peace of mind to stay at work, knowing their children are safe, engaged and entertained.
That is why a re-elected Malinauskas Labor Government has a bold plan to give every public primary school child access to OSHC, providing a genuine opportunity for parents and families to increase their working hours and put more money back into their pockets.
Labor's plan demonstrates our commitment to South Australian families, making life easier for working parents and allowing South Australian children to thrive.
