Hon. Rhiannon Pearce
Rhiannon grew up in a small country town at the foothills of the southern Flinders Ranges, completing high school in Port Pirie.
After moving to Adelaide, she completed a Bachelor of Economics at the University of Adelaide. She has lived and worked in metropolitan Adelaide ever since.
The proud daughter of a maritime worker, Rhiannon is committed to ensuring working people get a fair go and have the resources they need to raise their families and get ahead. Watching her father’s union rally around a seriously injured co-worker left an indelible mark on Rhiannon, encouraging her to join labour movement.
Rhiannon is also strong advocate for participation in community sport, particularly in the regions. When she is not playing wing defence for her Northeast Zodiacs Netball Club side, she is helping out with her two children’s junior sporting commitments.
She is committed to ensuring South Australians have the best schools for our children to learn, that we have quality health services in public hands and more secure and well-paid jobs.
