Oscar Harding
Oscar is a Riverland local who grew up in Barmera.
He attended Loxton High School, and is currently studying Chemical Engineering at Adelaide University, where he has represented rural students on the SRC.
Oscar has worked in the wine industry for 5 years as a vineyard assessor, cellar-hand, and packaging worker. He finds that the best part of the job is hearing genuine concerns from grape growers directly.
Oscar is running for Chaffey because he is passionate about advocating for others in the region. Oscar wants to give Riverland locals a real choice at the next election.
Oscar was driven to join the Labor Party after Scott Morrison’s handling of the black summer bushfires, his failures on trade, and his vandalism of worker’s rights. He understands that Labor is fighting for better outcomes and opportunities for all Australians, no matter their postcode.
Oscar continues to be an active member of the Riverland community, involving himself in community concert bands, acted in productions by the Riverland Musical Society, and swam for the Berri Demons.
