Matthew Marozzi

Matthew is the proud son of migrant parents, with his father from Italy’s Marche region and his mother from the Philippines, who came to Australia seeking a better life for their children.

They made their home in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs, where his mum worked as a cleaner and his dad as a council worker. Through their hard work, Matthew was able to attend university and buy his first home in Campbelltown.

His dad, Marino, was deeply involved in the local community, coaching soccer, training horses, and helping maintain local streets and parks. He passed away from lung cancer at just 64, but Matthew carries his passion for giving back every day.

Matthew remains actively involved in the community through the Marche Club and by playing footy for CBC Old Collegians. Like Premier Peter Malinauskas, his family’s story shaped who he is, and he is running to be a strong local voice in Parliament to help create the same opportunities for others that his family worked so hard to provide him.
