James Rothe
James was born and raised in Tanunda, the eldest of three boys.
He was educated at Redeemer Lutheran School and Nuriootpa High School, before attaining a Bachelor of International Relations and Political Science at Flinders University.
During his schooling years, James played for the Tanunda Magpies and got his first job in a local cafe at the age of 14.
As a young working person, James was inspired to join the Labor Party by the Scott Morrison Liberal Government's attacks on working rights. He understands that Labor is fighting for better outcomes for Australians, especially younger Australians.
James is running for the seat of Schubert because he feels that the electorate has been largely neglected by the Liberal Party despite holding the seat for so long. He wants to connect with the community and give people a real choice at the next election.
James currently works as a Business Support Officer for the Hon. Clare Scriven MLC and also works in the Wine Industry doing Cellar Door sales.
