Biography

Paul Holloway is married with three children. He is a Science graduate and holds a First Class Honours degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Adelaide. Paul also completed an Economics Degree from the University of Adelaide.

During his studies he won the Australian Society of Accountants Prize for Accountancy (1984), the IBM Prize for Economic Statistics (1985), and the Economic Statistics Prize (1985).

Paul held the House of Assembly seat of Mitchell from 1989 to 1993.

In September 1995 Paul was chosen to fill a Legislative Council casual vacancy. He was elected Deputy Opposition Leader in the Upper House in 1997. He was elected Leader of the Government in the Legislative Council and appointed Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries and Minister for Mineral Resources Development on 6 March 2002. He is currently Minister for Police, Minister for Mineral Resources Development and Minister for Urban Development and Planning.
