About - Labor Women

Country Labor Labor Women Constitution & Rules

The objectives of Labor Women are:

  • to increase the number of women members in the Party and encourage their active participation in the Party structure
  • to inform the community on issues affecting women
  • to support the election of female Labor candidates to State and Federal parliament

National Labor Women’s Network

The National Labor Women’s Network is the official national women’s network within the ALP.

The Network believes that encouraging women to participate in all levels of the Party’s structure, the government and public life is the best way to achieve policy outcomes that reflect the needs of women in the Australian community.

The National Labor Women’s Network provides a forum to increase the number of women active within the Labor Party; facilitate and develop relationships between the state Labor women organisations and the national Network, as well as supporting the development of skills that assist women to participate in the ALP at all levels.
