Labor is committed to maintaining our growing economy and providing every South Australian with the educational opportunities, essential services and jobs needed for tomorrow. Labor is committed to delivering: - $10.7 billion in infrastructure for SA over the next four years, supporting 12,000 jobs in the 2010-11 year alone
- An additional $884 million for health and an extra $307 million for families and communities over the next four years to reflect the growth in demand for these key priority areas
- 2010 election commitments, including infrastructure projects such as the duplication of the Southern Expressway, and the Convention Centre
- More than 700 extra teachers and support staff over four years and a further 313 police
- Approximately $80 million over four years in payroll tax relief for employers of apprentices or trainees, and higher and extended concessions for our seniors and low income earners
Under a Labor Government South Australian’s will continue to benefit from record numbers of police on the beat, teachers in classrooms, nurses in hospitals and investments in vital infrastructure. Only a Labor Government can continue to make South Australia a stronger and fairer state.
